slowing down through the house and yard, smelling more with nose pointed outwards, stumbling at a step the dog used to not have problems with, scared when senses something is near face tries to swivel to see it but gets aggitated because they cant Every dog is different some barely will even show any symptoms and there are so many things that cause blindness as to why they would show different symptoms best thing would be to get dog seen as there is even sun blindness in pups where they cant see if the lights hits wrong.

My 10-year-old has been diagnosed with lenticular sclerosis, which appears as a clouding of the lense of the eye. My doc says his eyesight will diminish but he won't go blind. It will be like wearing dark glasses in the house.

Go to Keysha on senior dogs, line 7, you will see the cloudy pupil of her left eye, her right eye is now gone to, so she is totally blind.

That is usually if they have cataracts. I don't think all blind dogs get cloudy eyes. My old poodle and her brother had that. If a dog is used to where things are situated in the house it may be harder to notice blindness because he is relying on his memory and other senses to avoid obstacles. But if things were moved around in the house the pup may bump into things because they are used to it being an open space.
No vestige of a beginning, no hint at an end

dogs that are blind from disease can be so without any physical change to the looks of the eyes

You can get a vet to look and see. Blindness is not a big deal. My Sasha was born with no eyes and she has done well the last 10 years. She is just like all my other dogs and it gives her no problems. When I rearange furniture I take her around on a leash and show her were everything is. I don't change things very often though. The other dogs help her find things. I hope all goes well for you and your baby.

Wow! That's impressive that you've been able to care for a blind dog for 10 years. What a great mama.
